The eye falls straight through the floor. That is the trick this round rug plays: a stone shaft that appears to sink beneath the room, lit from below in molten red, with something enormous climbing out of it.

Design Story

The composition is a true medallion — concentric rings of carved stonework, arched galleries and descending staircases spiral inward toward a single focal point. At the centre, a horned, winged figure hauls itself upward, claws clamped over the edge of the stairs, jaw open, eyes burning orange. Around the rim, gargoyles crouch on plinths, candles flicker, crimson banners hang, and a bronze-toned border of skulls and filigree closes the circle. Cool grey masonry against deep red glow gives the whole piece its contrast and its depth illusion.

Room & Styling

As a floor composition, the circular silhouette is the design. The border reads as a frame, the mid-ring carries architecture, and the centre holds the drama — so it rewards a clear span of floor rather than a crowded corner. Seen from standing height it becomes a room anchor; step closer and the detail takes over.
