Design Story

The composition is strictly centred. Arched lettering reads KANSAS CITY above a heavier gold CHIEFS wordmark, leading the eye down to the cream arrowhead medallion with its interlocking monogram. Beneath it, an engraved-style stadium bowl and city skyline sit in warm sepia tones, softened so the crest keeps the focal weight. A banner reading EST. 1960 closes the lower third, flanked by two footballs set into the corners. The ornamental border frames all of it in filigree, giving the field a clear edge relationship rather than letting the motif bleed out. Tonal contrast is restrained: red to gold, with cream reserved almost entirely for the emblem.
