Design Story
The composition is built as a medallion: a pale marbled oval framed by silver-toned scrollwork and laurel, with the interlocking UK monogram sitting dead centre in deep cobalt. Arched lettering reads University of Kentucky above, a ribbon banner carries Kentucky Wildcats below, and a small EST. 1865 plate closes the vertical axis. Beneath it, a blue basketball-panel motif wraps the lower body, its seam lines echoing the vertical proportion of the vessel. Two tones do all the work β royal blue against warm silver-grey β so the hierarchy stays instantly readable.
Use & Experience
On a tumbler, that centred crest becomes the focal panel, sitting exactly where the eye lands when the piece is held or set down. The upper band stays clean, the ornamental frame carries the mid-section, and the textured lower block anchors the silhouette so the graphic never floats.
