Below it, PITTSBURGH STEELERS sits in wide-tracked capitals, with ATHLETIC CLUB reduced to a whisper beneath a hairline rule. Small four-point sparks punctuate the vertical axis, guiding the eye from the top of the panel down to LIMITED EDITION near the base. Everything is warm gold on a dark, matte-looking green field, so contrast does the work that colour usually does. The restraint is the point — generous negative space around the crest gives the emblem room to read as heraldry, not decoration.
