Design Story

The eye enters at the centre, where the SF monogram sits inside a red-and-gold oval, framed by two laurel branches that curve inward like parentheses. Above it, banded lettering reads SAN FRANCISCO / 49ERS, anchored by a small football at the crown. Below, a line drawing of a suspension bridge carries the phrase FAITHFUL TO THE BAY, and beneath that a shield holds LIMITED EDITION over a second monogram. The palette moves from deep burgundy at the top to cream at the base, and that gradient does the quiet work: it lightens the lower third so the filigree scrollwork can breathe without competing with the emblem. Gold linework repeats at every tier, binding the panels into one continuous heraldic column.
